What goes in a WOW Room?
Plains Elementary School is fortunate in that they already have some of the cutting edge technologies that you may typically find in a makerspace: ozobots, 3D printers, escape boxes, green screens, etc. When devising a materials list, we focused more on furniture options for the space. We wanted to find similar functioning furniture at varying price points to give Plains the most flexibility with their planning, budgeting, and use of the space. We came up with example shopping lists at different price points to showcase what Plains could do with varying amounts of funding. However, it is important to note that within our budgeting, we do not include consumables like cardboard, yarn, buttons, straws, etc. We believe that these items can either be sourced for free, or are of negligible price compared to furniture and technology costs.
